The Rockbridge Area Republican Committee (RARC) serves Lexington, Buena Vista, Rockbridge County. We generally meet on the third Monday at various locations in Buena Vista, Lexington and around the county. Please check the calendar for current meeting information.

Message from Chairman Roger Jarrell
Fellow Republicans,
I want to thank the Rockbridge Area Republican Committee for the faith placed in me to serve as your chairman once again. This is not a role that I take lightly and I am devoted to serve you with every ounce of leadership that I can muster.
As I stated on Saturday, so many great blessings have happened in my life since I was last your chairman. I worked in both Trump Administrations. I met my wife, Jennifer, on the campaign trail and had the honor to help her serve as 6th District GOP Chair -- one of only two Republican women to ever do so. I became a Vice President and General Counsel of a nuclear cleanup company flowing from my service at the U.S. Department of Energy. This trust you have placed in me is now an opportunity to give back to you and to the community.
I have been involved in the Rockbridge Area Republican Committee since 1984 when I helped form a high school club to support Ronald Reagan. As I learned then, the Lexington Democrats have always been nasty. But it is increasingly apparent that they think they run this community. Well, based on the combined numbers of Rockbridge, Lexington, and Buena Vista in all recent elections, they are in a distinct minority. It is time that we start flexing our muscle to remind them who actually runs this community. We do. Common sense voters do.
The first order of business is to defeat this referendum on April 21 by voting "NO." This blatant power grab by Virginia Democrats is an attempt to strip all rural Virginians of fair representation in Congress. It means that area farmers will be represented by Northern Virginia liberals who have never worked an honest day in their lives. It means that pro-transgender politicians will be coming after your gun rights, your property rights, your freedom of speech, and your freedom of religion.
The second order of business is that we must start pushing back on what Governor Spanberger and the Dem regime in Richmond are attempting to pull on Virginians. More taxes, more spending, the gun grab.....and a perpetual nanny state aimed at telling you how to live your lives and what you can do with your property. Enough is enough!!!
Finally, we will work towards returning Ben Cline to Washington and to restore a Republican majority in Richmond. Our efforts in doing so are the only way that we can restore sanity in our local civic affairs. It's going to be a lot of work. But as Ronald Reagan once said, "there is no limit to what we can do or where we can go if we don't mind who gets the credit."
To that end, I have always had an open-door policy and believe firmly in keeping an open dialogue with you all. That's how I did things in Washington and how I did things with my company. That's how I am going to do things here.
This is going to be fun. Let's suit up.
